Unless the industry is "fixed" from top to bottom, we shouldn't and the Dems have agreed to hold out on the money.

We really can't afford for the failing industry to go under. The executives but the working public will. We are going to pay either way so we might as well strengthen the industry that was a backbone for so long.

alicia
http://todaystyle.today.com/Alicia aka "Fashiona"https://www.blogger.com/profile/15784493153950706446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7569061344706051270.post-11297479815688044572008-11-19T23:47:00.000-06:002008-11-19T23:47:00.000-06:00Len, it isn't about going "bust" it is about havin...Len, it isn't about going "bust" it is about having a plan for success before trying to take away taxpayer money. All the Auto companies can file for Bankruptcy, continue operations and turn themselves around without ever stopping production. Yes, there would be some serious layoffs but let's face it, these companies are carrying a lot deadweight and could really use a labor AND management overhaul.Strong Moderatehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01890776139495152899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7569061344706051270.post-17220164607979164412008-11-16T14:40:00.000-06:002008-11-16T14:40:00.000-06:00I'm a little perplexed on this one. We have plenty of military/defense companies out there and the US does NOT buy military components from other countries. Everything must be made in the US and the intellectual property of items bought by the US military must be strictly American.

Please do not try to argue for saving these big Auto companies if you do not offer a way to force them to fix themselves and pay back our investment in keeping them open and in business.Strong Moderatehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01890776139495152899noreply@blogger.com
